Privacy Policy
Wattlyst calculators run in your browser: the numbers you type are not sent to us or stored by us. This policy explains what data the site does collect, which cookies may be used for analytics and advertising, and how you can opt out.
Calculator inputs
Calculations happen on your device. When you press Calculate, your inputs are added to the page address (after ?load=) so you can bookmark or share the result. Anyone you share that link with can see those inputs. We do not store them in a database.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time) to keep the site secure and working. Logs are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, for example how many people visit and which calculators they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We do not send your calculator inputs to Google Analytics as personal data. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Advertising and cookies
We do not show ads yet. We plan to use Google AdSense in the future, and this section describes what will apply when ads are shown.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google My Ad Center (Ads Settings). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Before any personalised advertising is shown, visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform, and can change that choice at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators still work without cookies. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to fix any error you report. We do not sell or share it.
